  1. Hi, Chieko!
Congratulations on your new blog! Good to hear you are doing fine in Australia. I had a wonderful St. Patrick’s weeks, teaching children (5th & 6th graders) Irish dancing at school (they really enjoyed dancing to Irish music!) and performing on a stage. It’s been very warm here in Kyoto, and gee thanks, it was the first time in 6 years for us to have a warm day for St. Patrick’s Day parade (we did on March 9 this year).
Wish you a very happy St. Patrick’s Day! Slan!

  2. Hi Tamiko!

It is really nice hearing from you šŸ™‚ and I am glad that you had nice and sunny St Paddy’s in Kyoto! Wonderful news you are teaching children – they are lucky having a good dance teacher like you!!

I just returned from Ceili here. We still have extended summer – 25 – 35C every day. It is so nice šŸ™‚ Hope you will enjoy Spring and wish you a very happy St. Patrick’s Day, too!

  3. Hi Chieko

This is the first time I have seen a blog from someone I have an outside chance of meeting – I will also be part of Owen’s team at the National on the weekend. My husband Keith and I fly out of Adelaide on Thursday afternoon and we are very excited – the trouble is we have been so busy lately we have had no time to pack!

Look forward to meeting and chatting with you on the weekend if our shifts coincide, and hope your head isn’t too bad after yesterday’s celebrations……

  4. Thanks for the comment, Liz.

It will be my very first time to participate in NFF so I am very excited! Last Sunday when I was at EPIC, I met many people who come from far away and do volunteer work like yourself. I admire you guys!!

I look forward to seeing you very soon and let’s enjoy the festival šŸ™‚

  5. Cheiko,
It is lovely to read the email/website…I am looking at the Geography..pages..

Next year at the NFF I hope to be a volunteer in the Recycling Waste wise rubbish team …as a volunteer..

When you walked 10kms you must have passed some interesting places…I noticed you ride a bike home..

    Enjoy your time in ACT

  6. Hi Barbara,

Thanks for your comments! I don’t know if I will volunteer again next year (I even don’t know if I am still in Canberra), but certainly NFF was a good experience. I feel lucky that I live in Canberra!

Well, walking 10 km was nice at first (around 6:30am) but it became torture at the end (around 8 am) when I knew that I would be late for work…

If we are both in NFF next year, see you there again!
